Fundraising and communications, working as one.

I partner with nonprofit leaders to align their fundraising and communications around a shared strategy that drives revenue.

Every engagement is built around a single goal: getting your fundraising and communications working together so your organization can attract and retain the philanthropic investment it needs to grow.

How I work with Clients
Services

Campaign Alignment Audit

A focused review of an active or upcoming campaign. I assess your development strategy and communications plan side by side, identify gaps and conflicts, and deliver a unified campaign brief both teams can execute from.

Pre-Campaign Strategy Build

For organizations preparing for a capital campaign, signature event, or major fundraising initiative. I work with your ED, CDO, and communications lead to build a unified strategy that includes one narrative and one set of goals that  both teams own before the campaign goes public.

Messaging & Revenue Alignment Intensive

A structured review of your case for support, donor communications, and campaign results. I identify where your messaging inspires but does not ask, or asks without inspiring, and deliver a plan that connects your story directly to giving opportunities.

Strategic Advisor Retainer

Continued strategic partnership on a monthly basis. I meet regularly with your leadership team, review campaign performance, flag misalignments as they emerge, and serve as the connective tissue between your development and communications functions

About Lisa.

I am an independent consultant with deep experience in nonprofit fundraising strategy, campaign management, donor engagement, and leadership coaching.

What makes my work distinctive is where it sits. Development teams and communications teams often operate separately, with different goals, different metrics, and little shared strategy. This disconnect can limit results. I help nonprofit leaders close the gap, so campaigns engage donors, tell stories, and exceed their goals.

Over a 25+ year career spanning education, technology, and the arts, I have led strategy, content, and advancement work at organizations including the Scratch Foundation and KID Museum, where I oversaw development, marketing, and communications. I now work with Executive directors and senior leaders on campaigns ranging from $500K to $5M and beyond, providing the strategy and coaching that helps teams stay aligned and effective.

Originally from Massachusetts, I’ve lived in the greater-Washington area for over 20 years.
